Mama's Must Have in the Pantry

These are five things I absolutely must have in my pantry at all times. If I don't have them, I freak out a little, because I use at least one of them in every meal I prepare. Chicken Broth is a must have because it's perfect for creating a sauce, a gravy, it's a thinner, it's a flavor booster, it's a million things.

We eat pasta or pasta is integrated into at least two meals during the week. It's my go to meal when I'm short on time, and you can basically add anything you want to it from your fridge or pantry to create a meal.

Whether you need to make a tomato sauce to go with your pasta, or just want to spice up a soup or stew or side dish, canned tomatoes whole or chopped are essential!

We go through so much Extra Virgin Olive oil in our house we'd probably be better off buying an olive tree and making our own! I don't just use it for sauteing. I use it to make homemade salad dressings as well as a final flavoring for soups, pasta sauces and fresh garden vegetables. It's good for you too!

Bean beans beans. Not just a great source of protein, but an awesome addition to throw into salads, vegetables, rice, pasta, name it! Ever try toasting chick peas in a dry skillet on the stove top with a sprinkle of salt and pepper...yum! You can't eat just one.

Mama's Must Haves In The Makeup Bag

Before I put anything on my face I moisturize the crap out of it! The first three items are from Avon (trust me, it's not your Mom's Avon anymore!). Now, I'll say here that these creams and serum are advertised to the lovely 50+ cougars, however, even though I am a thirty-somethinger, I believe that I am simply being proactive by choosing my creams and serums twenty years ahead of time! This serum you see here is amazing! It's a little pricey, but love the way my skin looks and feels with it on! So it's worth it to me!

I have probably spent hundreds of dollars over the last several years trying new mascara's. Whenever a new one comes out, I jump ship on my old one and try out the new one. Well, let's just say, I won't be jumping ship on my new favorite: Maybelline XXL 24hr Last Extensions! It actually builds extensions onto your lashes with these microfibers! It washes off easy cheesy and doesn't leave raccoon eyes after a few hours of use. Love it.

In the winter, I can't live without bronzer. I'm too freaked out about using face self tanner because I just know I'm going to be the one that ends up looking like an Umpa Lumpa - so this is my solution. I like this Maybelline bronzer because it's light and doesn't end up looking oily and shiny after a couple of hours!
