Mama's Must Have in the Pantry

These are five things I absolutely must have in my pantry at all times. If I don't have them, I freak out a little, because I use at least one of them in every meal I prepare. Chicken Broth is a must have because it's perfect for creating a sauce, a gravy, it's a thinner, it's a flavor booster, it's a million things.

We eat pasta or pasta is integrated into at least two meals during the week. It's my go to meal when I'm short on time, and you can basically add anything you want to it from your fridge or pantry to create a meal.

Whether you need to make a tomato sauce to go with your pasta, or just want to spice up a soup or stew or side dish, canned tomatoes whole or chopped are essential!

We go through so much Extra Virgin Olive oil in our house we'd probably be better off buying an olive tree and making our own! I don't just use it for sauteing. I use it to make homemade salad dressings as well as a final flavoring for soups, pasta sauces and fresh garden vegetables. It's good for you too!

Bean beans beans. Not just a great source of protein, but an awesome addition to throw into salads, vegetables, rice, pasta, name it! Ever try toasting chick peas in a dry skillet on the stove top with a sprinkle of salt and pepper...yum! You can't eat just one.

What's your pantry must have?
